Services

The centre provides a unique range of services to schools and other organisations including the loan of artefacts and a faith/ culture speaker service. A member of a local faith community can meet with students and staff to explore religious and cultural issues and topics. Schools should see our entry in Trading Fair for further details.

Our meeting room, resources room and hall are also for hire by groups, schools and organisations seeking space for study, discussion or celebration. Lunches can also be provided.

In outline, there are five strands or areas of the Centre's work:

1.    Schools supporting Teaching and Learning in Religious Education and the related Spiritual, Moral, Social, Cultural and Citizenship curricula.

2.    Training/Awareness for local professionals and groups seeking better understanding of the influence of belief, faith and culture in the workplace and across the community.

3.    Outreach/networking with local groups and individuals who work in related areas.

4.    Programme of Events creating opportunities for interfaith understanding and dialogue.

5.    Use of the Centre by Faith groups or others who hold regular or occasional meetings, celebrations and study groups.
